Nike Elite 51 49ers Uniform Tweak

This is the 15th of many uploads for this Nike/NFL tweaking project. For those unfamiliar, the idea is to take each team's current uniform and "tweak" it, but stay in the general range of the current designs. This includes doing things such as: putting aside the striped compression sleeves that I usually add to a uniform that contains stripes on the "sleeves" of the jersey; not just blowing the current uniform up and starting from scratch; not just simply going with a throwback uniform as the solution; and various other new methods that I can't think of at the moment. Every team will be wearing my tweaked version of the Nike Speed Machine uniform. All Nike/NFL uniform tweaks are done with a combination of MS Paint and GIMP.

The 49ers have an okay uni set, but they have two glaring issues: one being the lack of sock stripes, and other being the situation going on with the sleeve stripes. The designer(s) of the current Niners uniform made the stripes that way in response to the shrinking sleeves on most football jerseys you would find on T.V. today. While their intentions were good, the execution was, well… not good. Actually, with the move to Nike this year (2012), 49ers Quarterback Alex Smith is probably the only player on the team with a full set of stripes on his sleeves, which weren't available on his Reebok uniform the year before. What I did here was restored the sleeve stripes to their proper positioning, and I also added/brought back the striped socks. Everything else stays the same. Home uniform is on the left, road uniform is on the right.
